Clockwork

What you're seeing right now is a very personal illustration. It's also a remake of an old pen-on-paper sketch I made years back.
This particular work of mine drills into a lot of things about myself way back when I first synthesized this concept and who I am at this very moment. From the struggles and obstacles I've faced and am still working my way through, my genuine fears and the burden of nigh-impossible aspirations, up to the values and beliefs I uphold and often fail to, just as the title suggests... all of that often feels just like clockwork... and in a very ironic manner since that phrase often relates to things done with ease, which is not the case here.
This piece also embodies a certain broken sense of mechanical consistencies and regularities in my life. The things I can't seem to control that are often way too predictable to the point of dangerous repetition.
Hope you all like this deep look into my psyche in the form of a digital painting. Helped calm my mind a little after getting this done, too. Hehehe.
